Bell-ringing – I have been learning to ring church bells since my mid twenties. I am now a member of the ringing band at St. Paul’s Church, Irton. (Come and join us, even if you just want to watch to see how it works. Practices are held most Mondays (except bank holidays) from a half past seven until nine o’clock. Just come in the main church door and you’ll see us.) There is some information about the bells on our website I rang before my own wedding, not at Irton – it kept me out of the way until the bride arrived, when I had to stand my bell and go to the front!
